Take me out to the ballgame....
Tonight the kids and I got to go to another Rangers game thanks to Coach Hardgrove. We had so much fun!! Logan told me a few days ago that he is going to play for the Rangers one day. I guess we will see!! The kids loved playing all the games at center field and they actually wanted to sit and watch the game some this time. Enjoy the slideshow of our evening of fun. Thanks again Tom for the tickets and the opportunity to enjoy some special memories with my kiddos. Go Rangers!!

Girls Trip!!
My neighbor and very close friend, Angie and I have been talking about going away for a weekend for a girls' trip. She is a nurse so her schedule can be random...sometimes she works weekends or nights and then with my schedule...finding a time to get away has been difficult. I had to go to the Texas Private School Coaches Association Convention in San Antonio this weekend so her and her sister came along. They shopped while I was in meetings and then we were able to hit the Riverwalk at night. I am so glad they made the trip with me! We stayed in the historic St. Anthony Hotel which was really nice but I have to admit, a little spooky. Do you remember the movie, The Shining? Thank goodness we didn't see any twins riding down the hall on tricycles!! The convention went well...it was mostly football coaches but the motivational speakers were awesome and I did some networking with the volleyball coaches that attended. The picture is of us ol' moms getting ready to hit the riverwalk. I can't wait for our next trip!!

Trophy Time
Logan finished his second season of basketball on Saturday. He didn't play all that well this time around...not sure if it was cause the games were at 8:00 am on Saturdays.... or if he was more focused on baseball. He is only 4 years old so that could be the reason right there. There were so many times that I wanted to...ok I did...once... ask his coach to take him out because he wasn't playing defense. I know, that's terrible...I'm a coach and I should know better....leave the coaching to the coach. I couldn't help it! Logan was one of the best players on the team and they needed him in there(despite his lack of defense). After the last game, he was awarded a trophy as were his teammates and all the participants for that matter....it is the YMCA. He proudly walked up to me and said, "Mommy we won and they lost because we get a trophy." I started laughing and then I said "Your team would've won if you played defense!"
I missed the girls game because they played at the same time as Logan. Kansas did score 2 points and she was so excited. If you notice in the picture above...their uniform numbers are very similar. Logan and Trinity's jersey numbers put together makes Kansas' jersey number. I thought that was kinda funny seeing as though we didn't pick the numbers. I just thought I would point that out...great story huh! Well as always, I am very proud of my kiddos..I love you 3 very much!!

Sports...it's our LIFE!
I mentioned earlier that we love our sports. Gene and I both played at the college level and we are both coaches today. Our children are currently playing basketball but that may not be the sport they choose to be their main focus. Whatever it is, we will support them 100%. They are very athletic thanks to the Good Lord. (Please Lord let them have Gene's jumping ability) :) Those of you that played with me know that my vertical was NOT my strength!! I have met my closest and most dearest friends through playing sports. I have actually been in touch with quite a few just this week. Patti and Stephanie I have known since junior high. They were both good athletes. Araxie is one of my closest friends from high school and we played volleyball together along with track....she was faster than me! Sue Amsler and I were freshman at UTA together and both her and Araxie are expecting a baby any day now. Look for pictures of their new babies very soon! Michelle I met during my coaching career. She lives in California but is always a phone call away if I ever need anything. I am thankful for all of you! The wins and losses fade but the friendships you make a long the way remain.
Kansas, Trinity and Logan-You are blessed with ability....keep working hard and you can achieve anything! Here are some pictures of them playing in their basketball league.

Good Friends...Good Times
My friend Patti that I have known from the good ol' days at Killough Middle School came in town since her son is playing in the USSSA Baseball World Series in Grand Prairie. Stephanie, one of my very dear friends brought her family over and Gene fired up the grill. The kids played and us girls hung out and visited. It was so good to see them both. I wish we were able to hang out more often. Patti and Steph have the most beautiful children. Logan and Jackson, Steph's son bonded right away and Brooke, Patti's daughter loved hanging out with my girls. The kids and I went to watch Cody at his baseball game and we can't wait to go watch Jackson play soccer! Above is a picture of my gorgeous friends and the slideshow has some pics of us enjoying being in the company of good friends. The Donatos and Ebarbs are always welcome at the Watts' House!

It's a RUFF life...
Gene and Logan have been at a basketball tournament out of town for the past 4 days. I have been able to get a lot done around the house but I really do miss my guys! They come home today and I'm sure all the hard work I did cleaning will be gone in a flash....what is it about that species?? I just can't wait to give them both lots of hugs and kisses.
I feel a little (just a little) bad for not really having our dog Gracie in our blog. She is an English Bulldog and she can be pretty darn funny. This morning while I was checking e-mails, she jumped on the futon (the only couch she is allowed on) and she just watched me type on the computer. She made me laugh the way she was sitting so I had to snap her picture. Not very ladylike I might add but she is a bulldog. Enjoy!

It's already July!
Well after rejoining reality since returning from San Diego..ugh.. I have been going non-stop and my volleyball season is only a month away...yikes!! I'm not sure how many blog entries I will get to do during my season. So here is a little recap of a few recent events...Trinity finally got to go to the American Girl Boutique in Dallas. She got a doll and outfit for the doll and and a matching outfit for herself..which cost more than mommy outfits...sheesh! After we got her doll, we went to see the movie, Kit Kitridge which is an American Girl movie. Our 4th festivities were low key..since we live next to Joe Pool Lake, we just walked to the front of our neighborhood to watch fireworks after eating some yummy barbeque made by Gene. Saturday the kids and I got to go swimming at the Sample's house for Mason's birthday. We had a blast. You know how you can be away from some people for awhile but when you see them again, it is like you just saw them yesterday...well that is how I feel about the Samples and my dear friend Amanda. It was so good to see all of them and they are such special people to me!
Gene and I celebrate 10 years of marriage in August and we will take the kids to Sea World and then that is it for our summer! Wow...does it go by fast. Enjoy it while it lasts!!

Well I am back from my wonderful visit to San Diego. I had a great time visiting with family and soaking in the awesome weather. My Aunt Liz picked me up from the airport and we ate dinner at CPK(California Pizza Kitchen) with Uncle Chris. I always stay at their house and they are so sweet to have me!! My cousin Brigette is studying abroad in Paris...you go cousin....so I got to sleep in her room this time. I got to see her via i-chatting which was way cool and I will put a picture of us i-chatting in the slide show. Aunt Liz and I took Uncle Chris' sweet ride to the Del Mar Fair the next day. I felt a little like Ferris Bueller when they snuck the dad's car out for a joy ride! It was beautiful riding around San Diego with the top down. The fair was a lot of fun...we did our usual shopping and browsing the cool gadgets. Aunt Liz and I had lunch at Poseidon, a fab restaurant on the beach. That night we had dinner at Del Mar Beach and it was absolutely beautiful. My cousin, Kate and her hubby Cameron joined us with their gorgeous daughter, Dakota. We enjoyed hanging out by the water and we actually were front row for a wedding that was taking place there. The next two days we spent at Aunt Gloria and Uncle Glen's house. They moved into this house about a year ago and the view is breathtaking. You really have to see it to give it justice. You walk down their yard to the pool and cabana and we had a blast there all weekend!! My Aunties Deneen and Vi came along with my cousins Peyton, Griffin, and Savannah. We swam, got sun and ate some great food along with the occasional water gun fight and cannon ball contest. I guess the kid in you never goes away. My Uncle Glen has this great telescope and it was perfect for snooping on the party that was going on in the mansion on the hill...good times!! My trip ended with my cousin, Kate taking me to Seaport Village and to the airport. Thanks Cousin!! Thanks to ALL my family for always making sure I have a wonderful vacation. I love y'all and miss you all already!! Enjoy the slideshow!! Until next summer......
