Watts' Happenings.....

I have missed blogging about my beautiful family but the last 2 weeks have been jam packed with busy busy and more busy!! :) Thankfully we got to enjoy movie night with the kiddos to get our weekend started. We watched Mega Mind and had a ton of snacks...which I'm pretty sure I sampled them all!!
During the week we had the opportunity to watch not 1 but 2 plays that were being put on by students of All Saints'. The Sound of Music was done by Logan's class.

I love watching him play sports but it was so adorable to watch him and his classmates sing and act out to one of my favorite shows of all time!

I was cracking up when they put that jacket on him....it looked like a pimp-daddy jacket!

The 2nd play we got to see was "Once Upon a Matress" which was done by our upper school students. They did a GREAT job!!! Logan's favorite person in the play was none other than JT, his daddy's 6'6" forward that is going to play for the Raiders of Texas Tech next year!
Well it is no surprise that the remainder of the weekend has been spent in the gym. Kansas and Trinity had a basketball tournament in the morning yesterday and Trinity had volleyball all afternoon. We even got to stop by in between their stuff to cheer on Logan's basketball team. He really misses not being able to play. :( Tomorrow we take him to the doctor to see if he is ready to start rehab! Today we go back for round 2! :)
Tennis season has started for me and I am actually at the half way point for my Masters!!! Woohoo!! We are looking forward to spring break which is right around the corner and Easter which is my favorite holiday! Hope everyone has a great spring!!

Back in the Day

I posted some pictures of me as a baby and thought I should share the love with the hubby. Gene's dear, sweet friend, Fritz put these on facebook and I had to post them. Fritz met Gene when he was a young boy (above). When they met, Fritz was running a weight room out of his garage. One day he turned around to find this skinny, nappy -headed kid trying to do squats. He kicked him out of his gym-garage only to find the same nappy-headed kid back in the gym later that day. To make a long story short (and I'm a terrible story teller) Fritz started training Gene and became another father figure to him like most great coaches do. I will never forget the 1st time I met Fritz, he pulled out shoe boxes of pictures and film of Gene competing in all different races.

The picture above is from a race where Gene is obviously a little older. :) Fritz can still name the race and Gene's time by looking at the picture. Crazy huh!! :) Hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane as much as I did. :)

Let's Go MAVERICKS!!!

Logan and Gene got to enjoy the Mavericks game against the Cavs. They had some great seats thanks to Mark Cuban, the Mavericks owner. He hooked them up!! I sent him an email after Logan broke his arm and he RESPONDED!!! Can you believe that....what other NBA owner do you know will respond to an email from some random person.

Mavs man striking a pose for the camera. :)

One of Dallas' stars, Dirk Nowitzki. Logan wore his jersey proudly! :)

I got a phone call from Logan during the game and he said "Mommy, can you see me, I'm on TV." I quickly ran to turn on the game and sitting right behind the Cavs basket was my hubby and little man. How cool is that!

Our future Maverick!!! They both had a blast.

Super Bowl Festivities

This weekend the DFW is hosting the Super Bowl. I'm glad the weather finally cleared up so we could welcome all the football fans like us TEXANS know how! :) The Steelers are staying in Fort Worth and the Packers are staying at the hotel pictured, in Dallas.
Since the sun finally showed up and made the roads bearable, we decided we would venture out to watch the NFL charity basketball game that was being played at SMU.

My camera is doing some crazy things...not sure what is going on with this picture but I had to post it because I hardly ever get one with all of us together. :)

Before the charity game, we were able to watch the SMU Men's basketball team scrimmage. London, or Little Cotton as we call him is on the team and Gene trained him when he was Logan's age. I remember him coming to the gym as a little boy and Gene would put him through some tough drills. He is a great player and has a bright future. We are proud of you Lil' Cotton!

Logan reminds me a lot of Lil' Cotton...they both have such a HUGE passion for the game of basketball. Logan was thrilled when he joined us for dinner. It was really nice to visit with him.

Before dinner we watched the NFL celebrity basketball games. Above TO is complaining about not getting the ball. :) He actually had a valid argument...this time. One guy on his team was a total ball hog!! :) (again...sorry for the blurry pictures)

And the tip off....there were a lot of Cowboys football players in the game along with Chris Brown and Floyd Mayweather. Those two were so small compared to all the other guys. It cracked me up to see all the "groupies" walking around like they should be at the club....take your sunglasses off ladies...you're inside!! :)

Chris Brown (in black) and Floyd Mayweather (in red) conversing before the game.
We didn't stay for the entire game because it was not all that exciting and we were hungry! :) It was nice to get out of the house and see Little Cotton. On the way home, we saw the Packers being escorted in their buses to the hotel. Tomorrow is the big game and we are headed to a Super Bowl party at a friend's house. Looking forward to some great food, fellow shipping with friends and some Football! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

California Dreamin on such a winters day

We have been out of school since Tuesday due to ice on the roads. This morning we woke up to snow SNOW and more SNOW!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!

Jersey is almost camouflaged by the snow....

Yes, those are oven mitts on Logan's hands...LOL. We don't go snow skiing so we are not prepared for days like this! Haha
My one-arm snow angel (sorry for the bad lighting)

He looks innocent in this picture but 30 seconds after I snapped it, he was throwing snow at everyone. Don't worry...we got him back!

My sweet Buddy absolutely loved being out in the snow. He kept running and tackling the kids as they were trying to build a snowman.

Trinity attempting to build a snowman before the dogs take her out.

Our casa under the snow....we were supposed to leave for Houston today for some conference basketball games but obviously that didn't happen.

I guess the dogs couldn't tell where our yard ended and the neighbor's yard began....they just took off running...they were loving it!

I have to admit that I have really enjoyed hanging out with the kids and hubby for the past week. We are usually always in a gym somewhere and hardly ever at home. It was nice to just relax and spend time as a family. However, I am over the cold, snow and ice and ready for some California weather!!! I hope everyone is staying warm out there!!
