Somerville Lake and Some time with Family

The kids and I headed down to Houston this weekend to visit with family. Gene had basketball so he was left at home and stuck in the gym all weekend. Jess and Tim got their boat out and we headed to Lake Somerville on Saturday. I just love being on the water and my kids loved it too!! Most importantly, we were with our family.
Trin wanted to fish most of the time but I think we scared away the fish since we kept jumping off the boat!

Kansas wanted to ride the bullet and stay out on the water. She was definitely in her element!

Logan and Cody showing off their guns....WHATEVER!! :) I thought Logan might get freaked out when he fell off the raft without Cody and was floating in the middle of the lake but he didn't! He just kept slapping the water because he was mad he fell off before Cody...so competitive!!
I wish I had a picture of me with all 3 of my kiddos but they were all over the place. We had a great time on the Lake and hanging with family. Thank you Tim and Jess for letting us use your boat!! Unfortunately Kendall is too little to enjoy the lake but we were able to hang out with her when we got back. She is so cute and getting so big!!

Of course I had to go shopping for some cute outfits for my Goddaughter...duh!! We found this onsie that says "My Aunt is my BFF"...how cute does she look in her new favorite outfit! :)

She is such a little doll and I could not get enough of her!!
4th of July this weekend....not sure what our plans are but it will be nice to just hang out. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Fun on Father's Day Weekend

I'm pretty sure it doesn't get much cuter than this face! We are proud to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Gene's Father's Day present, Jersey the American Bulldog. Another dog you ask....yes, that is what I am saying as we deal with the fun times of housetraining a puppy (why didn't I just say no..) but then I look at the picture above and think....what was I thinking! :) Our journey to find Jersey started at the Zoo.....

Gene wanted to take this thing home but fortunately for me, the Zoo wouldn't let us! Haha (Is it weird that when I see this picture, I want to start singing, "She's got legs....and she knows how to use them" you know...by ZZ Top!

Logan thought it would be fun to take a bird home....

and Gene thought it would be fun to scare one to death....

We decided against a bird and thought we would just compare ourselves to them...

I think the heat was getting to us by this time....

Our flamingo, Kansas took a picture next to the pink flamingos.

Trinity made friends with a turtle...

I found myself a cuddly, teddy bear.....at least I got to take mine home with me! :)

Saturday we found ourselves at Trader's Village....a GIGANTIC flea market. We haven't been in a long time and Gene has been talking about going....so off we went. Little did I know he was scheming the whole time to find us a pooch...or at least that is what I'm claiming. :)

I must say, this was one of the best weekends we have had in a long time. We didn't spend one second in a gym and we were together as a family. We hit the zoo, saw Karate Kid, Trader's Village an ended the weekend taking Gene to Red Lobster. It wouldn't have been as special if we weren't all together....I am very thankful!!!

Happy Birthday Trinity!!!

My sweet, middle child is 9 today!! You were a much easier baby than Kansas. You loved your pacifier but as you can tell it didn't ALWAYS make you happy! You look a HOT MESS in the picture above...haha.

You used to always walk around with a backpack and you would ask people, "Want to see what's in my PACK-PACK"....so darn cute!!

One day while you were playing in the kitchen cabinets, I looked up and noticed you had the bunt cake pan stuck on your head. I had to cut the thing off but made sure I got a pic before I took it off. :)

I called you Mommas or Trin Trin and Daddy called you Fat-Butt. You are the skinniest little thing now but as a baby, you were a chunky monkey!!

Now you are a beautiful, young lady who loves American Girl Dolls and talking and singing.

Shopping at your favorite store.. (it looks like I have a ferret on my shoulder :))

Daddy and I are so proud of you and we love you very much. You are such a sweet girl and are always looking out for others. I can't wait to see what God has planned for you. I hope you have a great birthday Trin. You deserve it!
Love you baby!!

Pool Party with My Peeps

This is how you enjoy your vacation!!! My Aunt Liz and sister, Jessica and I had the best seats in the house for our pool party at the Hedstroms!! I couldn't help feeling a little guilty that Gene and the kids weren't there to enjoy it with me.

My mom got blasted with the water gun...her face cracks me up! I'm glad she was able to relax and have fun!

My family enjoying the great day and each others company. Pictures do not do this pool and view justice....it's absolutely gorgeous.

The Martins....they are always my host and they always go out of their way to make sure I have a great time. THANK YOU Aunt Liz and Uncle Chris!!

I took this picture from my Aunt's patio when we were all sitting down to eat dinner. My Uncle catered Mexican food this time but last year Gene fixed everyone his yummy ribs. Mmmmm

It was such a quick trip but we were able to do so much in such little time. Thank you to my Aunt Gloria and Uncle Glen for hosting the pool party! I always enjoy being around my family and wish I was able to make it out there more often. I am truly blessed to have such great people in my life. I love y'all!

Beach cruisers at the Bay and Booty Shakin with the Family

Twinkies...our tanks had surfboards all over them in honor of our trip to California. How cute are we...NOT! :)
It is always fun hanging with my HUGE family. We spent the day at the bay and took the beach cruisers down the boardwalk at the beach.
Aunt Liz and I cruising the boardwalk.
My cousin Sierra, her boyfriend Jesse and my sis Jessica and I go for round 2!
So glad I was able to share this birthday weekend with my big sis....I love her!! (and I love my hubby as you can see on my shirt...haha)
We had fun in the sun and then it was time to get cleaned up and hit the town. I think my Grandma Frenchie would be so proud of her girlies!
Enjoying some cocktails at the top of the Hyatt...the view was amazing!!
As if we all weren't tall enough...we had to wear our "big girl shoes"!!
Time for some dancing!!!

We went to a place called Rock Bottom and the place was dead until we got there!! I had a blast dancing with my cousins, sister and aunties. I am proud to say I consumed water all evening and I was still able to get my groove on!! Today is our last full day in sunny San Diego and we will be spending it at my Uncle Glen and Aunt Gloria's pool!! As always, I have had a great time but I can't wait to see Gene and my 3 beautiful kids...I miss them!!

Days of Summer....California Style

There are going to be many pictures in this post and few words....I think the photos say it all!
My Aunt Liz and I being our usual goofy selves at dinner on night 1.
We went to visit with Aunt Marie. She is such a special lady and was cracking everyone up with her funny self. Her mind is definitely all there!!
Leave it to my family to get a party started at the nursing home!!!
After eating at Jalapenos (yes I had the Cali Burrito..it has french fries in it!) we headed to Sea Port Village to be by the water and get some shopping done. Do you like how I match with the umbrella....that is officially my "prison shirt". :)
My hostesses with the mostesses.....my Uncle Chris reliving his glory days of long hair with my cousin's wig.
My cousin Kate and my big sis...
Goofy moment # 274 for the trip....trying to steal Cameron's pizza.

Aunt Liz, Jessica and my Aunt Dominique....Beautiful girls...all over the world....

As you can see, we are having a great time hanging with family. Today we are headed to the Bay and then a night out on the town. More pictures to come. Time to get my tan on! :)
