One Proud Momma

This little boy can sure be high maintenance at times. He can make me mad like no other. After he does he usually says, "Momma, may I snuggle with you?". Ok he also knows what a softy I am too!

Everyone knows Logan is a good athlete but what is more impressive is what a good Christian he is. Yesterday we were driving home and we came up on a bad accident. Before I could say anything, Logan said, "Mommy, we need to pray". He took charge and said the most amazing prayer I have ever heard from a 6 year old. Of course I was tearing up underneath my sunglasses. I wish I had the prayer on video but it will be in my heart forever. Gene and I have great kids and they continue to bless us every day!

TCU FROG FOOTBALL

Today we went as a family to support the TCU Frogs! My dear friend Jenny invited for us and we got the VIP treatment the entire time. Of course the frogs destroyed the Baylor Bears!
Jenny, Whitney and myself...we all coach volleyball together but more importantly we are dear friends. They are both great people, awesome moms and their friendship is truly a blessing to me.

Logan got all decked out in his TCU gear....all he wanted to do was go down on the field with the players. Maybe one day he will be down there in a purple jersey.

We got to sit on the balcony and were fed Mexican food and yummy desert. Thanks Jenny for inviting us....we had a great time!

Don't I have the prettiest friends!! :)

I have the prettiest daughters also!

The frog fans heading up to the balcony.
I enjoyed hanging out with my family and 2 of my dearest friends. The frogs kicked some Baylor butt so all is well in TCU land. The Saints football team also won last night so that puts us at 4-0. My volleyball team defeated the Falcons Tuesday along with the Warriors on Thursday....so it was a good week for sports I would say!

Tornado Volleyball and Shrek Baby

I took my team to Houston to play in the Texas Tornados Volleyball Tournament this weekend. Unfortunately before we left, one of my middles sprained her ankle at practice. Despite being down a starter or 2 we were ready to play. I was looking forward to the tournament but more importantly, getting to see my family. My niece, Goddaughter, Kendall came to cheer us on!! My setter said she looks like a "Shrek Baby" which I would have to agree (only she isn't green). She has the chubby cheeks and beautiful big eyes. I just adore her and I could of held her all day long.

My mom and sisters were there as well. Despite our visit being short, it was good to be with family.

As soon as my team saw Kendall, they stole her from me and took turns hanging out with their new Lil' mascot. She just loved all the attention.

My team being goofy with their new t-shirts. We finished 4th in the tourney which is pretty good considering our situation. I am proud of my girls but ready to get back in the gym and work on our weaknesses.
When I returned home at 11:30pm on Saturday, my kids were up and so excited to see me. It was a good feeling.
I have a 10 page paper due for my class so I better stop blogging and get to writing. Hope everyone has a great week!

Pool Pizza Party

It has been such a nice weekend. Saturday we spent the day hanging out at the house which has been a nice change from the busy start to the school year. Today we headed to Whitney's house to swim with the kiddos. It was so much fun. The weather was still warm enough to swim but not so dang hot that we couldn't stand to be outside. We ordered pizza and the kids swam.

Whitney and I hung out inside visiting for awhile..the wall is made entirely of glass so we were able to see the rugrats the entire time.....too bad we could still hear them! haha

Leave it to Trinity to pose in the pic with the crazy boys.

So the pool just looked too good to stay inside any longer.....not to mention there was this cool bubble toy that I had to try out. Of course leave it to Logan to burst my bubble. :)

My bubble girl, Kansas enjoying the beautiful day.

Last but not least, the bubble boys. The kids had a blast swimming and hanging out with each other. We are so thankful that Whit invited us over. One more day to the nice long weekend...love not waking up to an alarm clock! Have a good one!

My Fames Basketball Polar

We had parent info night last week and I got to see Logan's first work as a 1st grader. Big surprise that he wants to be a "famous basketball player" when he grows up.Notice that he did spell "basketball" correctly. :) I love that my blog enables me to document all these things about their childhood. It's amazing how much my kids have already changed in just the short amount of time I've been blogging. We have officially started the labor day weekend and I am so looking forward to doing a whole lot of nothing with the family. Enjoy the break everyone!
