And We're Off.....

The day has finally come for us to leave on our family vacation!! It has been awhile since I have posted on my blog because I have been working volleyball camps non-stop (have to pay for the vacation somehow :) All that time on my feet is worth having some family time! The kids haven't been on an airplane in 4 years so they are fired up! Can you tell they are ready to leave for the airport!! We are heading to Phoenix where we get to stay at a fabulous hotel that has a waterpark attached to it. We will then head to LA and our trip will finish in San Diego. Can't wait to see my family again!! I will do my best to keep my blog updated while we are away.

On Sunday we were able to hang out and take the kids fishing. They absolutely love it.

Here is the gang getting ready to cast!

Logan makes a catch and is very proud! (I promise there is a fish on the end of his pole...haha)

Kansas caught one as well...(look really close :)

Well I hope everyone is enjoying what is left of their summer! See y'all soon!!
Many Blessings,

Show Us Where You Live Friday-Foyers

It's been awhile since I have participated in Kelly's Korner-Show Us Where You Live Fridays. This summer has been quite busy on top of trying to get stuff done around the house to get it ready to sell! Even though we always come in through the backdoor, I love what greets my guests when they come in the front!
Ok..I didn't mean my bulldog Gracie.... I meant the bright color and texture on the walls. I also like our "God Bless Our Home" sign and my Angel pictures.
But my most favorite picture is the one of me and the hubby on our wedding day. It catches your eye right when you walk in the door....or at least it catches mine....hubba hubba....I've got one handsome groom! :)

In front of the window by my front door I have a little divider that I keep all my Christmas pictures/cards that I recieve from family and friends. I used to take them down when I put my Christmas stuff away for the year but I decided this year I would leave them up until I recieve the next year's cards. It will be fun to compare them and see how big everyone's kids are getting....especially the friends that live far away.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.
Many Blessings,

Friends, Fun & Fireworks on the Fourth

This fireworks display was right above us. We had the best seats!

One of the planes from the air show....

Trinity and Devin...the wild animal paint suits them!

Kansas went for a style to bring out her eyes...haha! She gets Daddy's approval.

Me & the Hubs watching Logan play baseball...he hit one over the fence...and we had to hear about it for the next hour!

Here he is running to home after hitting "the bomb" as he likes to call it.

How cool is this....

Me & my girlies..

My friend Amanda & her boys

Logan, Cam & Devin watching the fireworks...it looks like Dev is saluting them...hehe.

Last night we got to attend a private party at DBat Baseball Academy of Dallas. We were invited by Logan's t-ball coach and we had a great time. We ate burgers, hung out with friends and had front row seats to an exciting air-show and fireworks display. The kids got to get their face painted, jump in a bounce house and of course play a little baseball. It was a lot of fun! Happy 4th of July everyone!!

You Can't Please Them All

The Kids about to leave Hawaiian Falls...can you tell Trinity is ecstatic!

Logan taking it all in....

Trinity in the hula hoop contest..

There is a saying in the coaching world that you hear all too often..."You can't please 'em all." When you have a roster of 12-15 kids, sometimes more depending on the sport that means you also have at least 25-30 parents to go along with those kiddos. Making everyone happy is just not going to happen. It doesn't matter if you go undefeated all season, there is going to be someone either a parent or athlete that is not happy. You just learn to deal with it. Well I found myself in that same predicament at the Hawaiian Falls Water Park today. Kansas' friend had her birthday party there so she hung with her friends at the party....that left me to deal with or should I say "enjoy time with" Logan and Trinity. Of course they each wanted to do something totally different than the other....."let's go to the lazy river momma"...."but I want to go down the red slide". Only if the hubby was here...but he has to work camp...AGAIN...poor thing, he has been busting his butt all summer. Someone has to bring home the bacon (and pay for our vacation!) So after I heard both proposals from each child, I decided we would do the wave pool....that's right....we did what MOMMA wanted to do! Man I love being in charge. Since we are in Texas and it is hotter than (insert clever phrase here...where is my friend Michelle when I need her) we (I mean I) could only handle 4 hours of fun before we called it a day. I hope everyone has a Happy 4th of July!

Nothing Like A Little Personality

Ever since I got home, my kids have been talking non-stop about Michael Jackson. So weird because they didn't know about him until he died. They have been singing his songs and Logan even imitates him. He was my favorite singer growing up so it is funny to see them show interest in his music. Logan decided to make his own music and perform on stage (aka my ottoman) for me tonight. It is pretty funny....take a look for yourself. (don't forget to pause my playlist down on the right before you play it)

So Long San Diego-Thank You MARTINS!!

I have landed safely in the Lone Star State. My trip was awesome and I look forward to returning with the family next month. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to the Martin Family, Uncle Chris, Aunt Liz and Brigette. I always stay at their house every summer and they are so good to me. They always make sure I have the best time and I really do appreciate their hospitality. I love y'all!
My Aunt Liz and I always visit the Del Mar Fair and junk food is a must! We had donuts, curly fries and chocolate chip cookies (my favorite). After the fair, we headed for the pool at my Aunt Gloria and Uncle Glen's house.
Here is my Uncle Chris and cousin, Brigette enjoying the pool party.

Relaxing in the pool after the fair was so nice. I got to hang out and visit with my cousins, Nick, Brooke (who is 21 today...Happy Bday Cousin!!) and Sierra.
Like I said before, we have a huge family. Here is a pic of just some of the girl cousins.

I got Dakota this shirt at the fair for her birthday. It says "Sorry, I Only Like Boys With Tatoos"! Here she is with her Daddy.
On the way to the fair, we stopped to see Aunt Vi and Savannah's new house. It is way cute and absolutely perfect for them!

Here is yet another beautiful view of beautiful California. I had a great time and loved seeing my family. See y'all next month and thanks again for everything!
