Ice Day

Logan playing the drums like the dude on CMT

It's so nice when they aren't fighting

Gracie snuggling with her toys

My 2 favorite guys going nite nite...look who has the remote

We got up this morning and started to get ready when we found out there would be no school...ice day!! The kids were so excited they immediately changed out of their uniforms into some comfy clothes. I thought they would go back to bed but they decided to play in their rooms. I was determined to go back to bed yet my personality decided I would get some work done first...ugh! It is now almost 3pm and I have yet to get some rest. As you can see in the pictures....the rest of my family has had no problem taking a break.....even the dog but that is a no brainer. Kansas' new thing is watching CMT so her and her siblings sat and watched for a bit and sang a long. Gene ran to the store to get us some chips and salsa...yummy. I guess that food makes you sleepy ;)cause he and Logan have since gone nite nite. I guess I will have to nap on the couch! It is cold outside but nice and warm inside. Despite the lack of a nap, it has been a great day hanging at home with my family.

The Inauguration of Barrack Obama

Watching the Inauguration with the girls at All Saints'

Today was a day that I will never forget. Gene and I were fortunate enough to sit with Kansas and Trinity and watch the Inauguration of the first African-American President, Barrack Obama. Even though the girls don't completely understand the significance of today, one day they will.....and Gene and I got to experience it with them. I am excited about what the future holds for our Country not just because we have a new President but because we have one Awesome God!

Logan's Fans

Ok just for the record, those 2 pretty, OLDER women are not groupies. :) They are some of Logan's many fans! :) Whitney and Megan are 2 of Gene's Asst. Coaches and they were so sweet to come watch his game this morning. Gene and I have known Whitney since she was in middle school. She is a great athlete, one of the best to have graduated from All Saints'. Megan was lucky enough to have been coached by Gene (haha). We have known her and her family for ages. She is also a great athlete. Both girls are now college grads and all grown up. Logan bugged them everytime he saw them about coming to watch him play and they did. Thank you girls for making his day!

My Little Star

The Hoopster

Got the steal and driving to the hoop

Shaking hands after the game..Stars Victory!

Logan had his first game with his team, The Stars. They won 16-2!!! They all did great. I was so proud of Logan. He hustled and got a ton of steals and scored a team high, 6 points. It is such a blessing to be able to watch my children compete in athletics. I spend so much time watching and coaching other people's kids, it is REALLY nice to watch my own. Go Stars!!

Beautiful Sunset

We have the most beautiful sunsets over our campus. I just love how they light up the sky with our Chapel in the background. It one of God's many beautiful gifts. Unfortunately, I have to work late to be able to see them....but that is ok with me! :)
